Job summary

FinanceWithin, LLC. is seeking an experienced Senior FP&A professional to build financial models, KPIs, forecasts, and budgets for multiple e-commerce and CPG clients. The role involves managing 8-10 clients concurrently and reporting to the Finance Director.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in FP&A, strong financial modeling skills, and deep understanding of KPIs in e-commerce, retail distribution, and CPG. Availability during Central or Eastern business hours is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
• 5+ years financial modeling and cash forecasting experience.
• Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting; MBA is a plus.
• Experience with multi-client environments and strong analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain demand planning financial models and operating models for clients, including 13 week cash flow and balance sheet.
• Oversee and manage the creation and development of budgets.
• Review and evaluate client KPIs and build dashboards.
• Perform variance and trend analysis for departmental expenses and strategic projects.
• Ensure data accuracy in financial models and reconcile with accounting books.
• Assist in gathering data for business plans and pitches for initiatives.
• Prepare due diligence documentation for lenders or startups.
• Collaborate with CFO and Controller to support client needs.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and strategic initiatives.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Senior FP&A professional to work on building financial models, KPIs, forecasts, and operating budgets (annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly) for multiple clients. The FP&A professional should feel comfortable working with 8-10 clients at once and will report to a Finance Director leading those clients.

Must have experience in e-commerce, retail distribution and CPG verticals, and have a deep understanding of key performance metrics in these industries.

Must be available during standard business hours - Central Time and/or Eastern TIme Zones

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain demand planning financial models and operating models for clients, including 13 week cash flow and balance sheet.
• Oversee and manage the creation and development of budgets
• Review and evaluate client KPIs established by leadership teams; build dashboards
• Performs variance and trend analysis for departmental expenses and strategic projects
• Ensures data accuracy in financial models, ensuring alignment and reconciliation between managerial analysis and accounting books
• Assists in the research, analysis, and compilation of data input to create appropriate data set for business plans/cases to address corporate initiatives
• Prepare due diligence documentation (e.g. putting together credit packages for lenders or editing pitch decks for startups)
• Work closely with CFO and Controller internally to support client needs
• Support ad-hoc reporting, projects and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis. 5+ years financial modeling and cash forecasting experience is required.
• BBA in Finance and/or Accounting. MBA is a plus.
• Must have multi-client experience (ability to manage multiple clients at once)
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Synthesize meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data, and the ability to discuss these findings with senior management
• Firm grasp of accounting principles and GAAP
• Proactive, solutions-oriented and client-centric attitude
• Experience using QBO and Xero. Experience in NetSuite is a plus
• Advanced in: Excel, Google Sheets and Powerpoint
