Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join the MQ-1C Product Line Finance team in Poway, CA. You will support program planning, budgeting, and EAC development, working with cross-functional teams to ensure cost and schedule performance.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in business with accounting/finance emphasis and six+ years of cost accounting experience, including EVMS. Travel may be required, and SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and/or finance and six or more years of progressive professional cost accounting experience in a corporate environment, preferably with a government contractor.
• Experience with project planning and scheduling; strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports program managers in planning and budgeting work, tracking incurred spending, anticipated future spending, and expected profit margins
• Develops performance baselines with integrated schedules
• Supports program managers in the development of Estimates at Complete (EACs) for various contracts
• Conducts financial analysis, reporting and deliverables per EVMS and internal controls
• Collaborates with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Contracts and Accounting to ensure program success
• Maintains work breakdown structures and charge numbers
• Supports customer cost and schedule briefings
• Assists with program risk & opportunity management
• Supports proposal preparation
• Prepares project funding status reports
• Performs cash flow and unbilled AR analysis
• Reviews and approves purchasing requests
• Interacts with auditors
• May train other financial analysts
