Job summary

Navigator Energy Services in Houston is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to drive analytical evaluations across our midstream oil and gas operations, partnering with Engineering, Operations and Business Development to deliver actionable insights.

You will develop financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning, prepare executive reporting, and support capital allocation decisions, mergers, and due diligence, with a strong focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive financial analysis experience in energy, oil & gas, or midstream.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities with cross-functional influence.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range strategic planning.
• Develop materials including GIS maps to support project decisions.
• Analyze monthly results and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Evaluate operating performance, capital spend, and project returns for senior leaders.
• Prepare executive reporting, variance analyses, and board materials.
• Support cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and capital allocation planning.
• Contribute to due diligence and valuation modeling for transactions.
• Understand commodity markets, pricing impacts, and operating cost structures.
• Manage data sourcing vendor relationships and contracting.
• Recommend process improvements to improve reporting accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as a financial liaison between Engineering, Operations, and Business Development.
