Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Engineering Cost Model (ECM) and budgeting across the ITP organization. You will perform financial planning, reporting, cost allocations, and automation initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency.

The role offers exposure to engineering investments, data analytics, and cross-functional partnerships with leaders shaping technology roadmaps and resource planning in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, analytics, or a related business function.
• Experience working with large datasets, financial models, reporting tools, or analytical processes.
• Experience with Power BI or comparable data visualization tools.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and business processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly and quarterly execution of the ECM, which allocates engineering investments across Micron's product, technology, and development portfolios.
• Perform data collection, validation, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure model accuracy and completeness.
• Produce allocation outputs and supporting analyses used to evaluate investment trends, resource deployment, and strategic priorities.
• Maintain model documentation and controls while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process enhancements.
• Support planning, forecasting, reporting, and budget management activities for designated engineering organization.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support to help leaders evaluate spending, resource allocation, and investment opportunities.
• Build collaborative relationships with business partners to understand priorities, communicate financial results, and support informed decision making.
• Support planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business review processes for R&D organizations.
• Prepare financial analyses and models to evaluate spending trends, resource requirements, and business performance.
• Monitor financial results versus plan and investigate significant variances.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools, automation, and advanced analytics to improve productivity, reporting, and data quality.
