Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst in Warren, MI (and Irving, TX) to mine data, analyze results and present findings. The role involves consulting with multiple organizations, recommending process improvements and leading ad hoc reporting to senior management.

This hands-on position requires strong Excel/Access skills, FP&A experience, and the ability to translate data into clear messaging while supporting monthly close and KPI dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or modeling.
• Strong data analytics and mining skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; MS Access or database tools beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial close activities including journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze financial information and reports to provide timely recommendations to management.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and dashboards, highlight trends and variances across locations.
• Collaborate with operations to develop forecasts and reporting on financial performance and cost analysis.
• Provide senior management with in-depth spend analysis to drive cost optimization insights.
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
