Job summary

Penske Logistics in Irving, TX is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to mine data, prepare financial presentations, and drive process improvements. This is a hands-on role supporting senior management and multiple organizations with close collaboration across Operations.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting/Finance and 3–7 years FP&A experience, plus advanced Excel and data tools. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• 3-7 years of financial planning, analysis, or modeling experience.
• Strong data analytics and data mining skills.
• Logistics/Operations experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills; MS Access or similar DB tools a plus.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly close activities including journal entries to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze financial information to provide timely recommendations to management.
• Develop, update and monitor KPIs and dashboards, communicating financial health by location.
• Collaborate with operations to develop forecasts and reporting including cost analysis.
• Provide in-depth analysis of actual spend to identify trends and cost optimization opportunities.
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
