Job summary

Equix, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver financial insights and lead reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analyses across the organization.

You will develop reporting processes for job cost, labor tracking, revenue, and profit recognition, working closely with business units to align financial planning with company goals. The role requires strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, GAAP knowledge, and experience in construction accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 5 or more years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Detail orientation, strong analytical and critical thinking, desire to learn the business.
• Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to meet deadlines.
• Process-oriented to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP or related systems is preferred but not required.
• Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of GAAP and construction financial practices is preferred but not required.
• Team player with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manipulate flexible models to evaluate financial impact under various assumptions and scenarios.
• Analyze contract terms, manage change orders, and track project costs and revenues.
• Respond to inquiries from managers regarding financial results and reporting requests.
• Partner with operations to improve margins and guide project teams financially.
• Maintain precise financial records and meet month-end close deadlines.
• Collaborate with managers to support company initiatives and goals.
• Forecast quarterly and annual profits, revenue, and expenses, highlighting risks.
• Track KPIs and present financial reports to leadership.
• Coordinate long-term financial planning with executives.
