Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a high-performing Senior Financial Analyst to join the Commercial Finance team. This role supports budget management, forecasting, reporting, and business partnership for Sales, Services, and Marketing, with responsibility for both headcount and non-headcount investments.

The analyst will partner with functional leaders to manage spend and provide financial insights that guide resource allocation and investment tradeoffs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive finance experience across FP&A, commercial finance, or related areas.
• Strong financial modeling skills with forecasts, scenario analyses, budget trackers, and management reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, headcount planning, and operating expense management.
• Ability to analyze sales, marketing, or commercial metrics such as pipeline, bookings, backlog, commissions, ROI.
• Experience with enterprise systems and BI tools (SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Manage FP&A, including annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly outlooks, and variance analysis.
• Partner with leaders to manage headcount plans, hiring assumptions, and workforce expenses.
• Analyze non-headcount investments like marketing programs, sales commissions, and travel spend.
• Build and maintain financial models for budget scenarios and resource allocation.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management reporting with key drivers and risk insights.
• Develop pipeline reporting and ensure data consistency across Marketing and Sales.
• Analyze marketing ROI by linking program spend to pipeline and bookings.
• Support bookings and backlog reporting and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Controller on close, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Identify process improvements to automate budget tracking and reporting.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows to streamline finance processes.
• Support special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
