A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will assist in financial statement preparation and analysis of strategic projects. This role involves overseeing budget preparation, presenting analyses to senior leaders, and mentoring junior analysts. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in finance within a healthcare setting.
Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst assists in preparing reports and assists with financial statement preparation while supporting financial analysis of strategic projects and ad hoc analysis as required. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst supports operational and administrative decisions affecting finance, budget preparation and monitoring, budget analysis and projection.
Essential Functions
-Maintain and enhance systems to monitor and execute on commitments made by AMC President
-Oversee access to non-operating fund data and set up of new funds
-Develop expertise around fund-related policy and become key resource to stakeholders
-Interprets financial information by consolidating, studying, and analyzing data.
-Train junior analysts and sometimes review their work
-Prepares and presents analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to senior business and finance leaders that support and drive key business, strategic, and investment decisions.
-Interpret results of financial analysis procedures.
-Supervise project budget and all financial issues for all projects.
-Support the Finance Leader on projects as needed
Education
Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
Experience
3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance required
3-5 years of experience in a role within a large healthcare organization preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Good analytical and mathematical skills.
Superior Excel Skills is required.
Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data.
