Senior Accounting Officer - Corporate Accounting

Location: Multiple Locations, including Wheeling, Uniontown, Ann Arbor, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, and more. This position is 100% remote within the Bank's footprint. Employee will work full-time remotely outside of a WesBanco location, with occasional in-person meetings.

Work Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Job Description

Summary: Maintains an accounting system that fairly presents the company's financial position, interfacing with management and applying professional judgment to accounting policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares or coordinates the preparation of monthly end and loan reconciliations, including monthly loan reports.
• Assists with allowance calculations, supporting schedules, and qualitative factors affecting the allowance balance.
• Reviews loan interfaces with banking software and general ledger accounts.
• Prepares quarterly loan footnotes, MD&A, and related schedules.
• Prepares or assists with special reports and statistical analyses related to loans.
• Stays informed about system enhancements and reports, recommending improvements as needed.
• Supports auditors and regulators with information requests.

Other Requirements

• Proficiency in bank policies, laws, and regulations; complete compliance training.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex documents and technical instructions.
