Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and strategically oriented senior financial analyst to join our finance team. The role involves supporting financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting processes, analyzing and synthesizing financial data, developing financial models, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. The successful candidate must be proficient in data manipulation and analysis in Excel and/or other financial reporting tools, have experience with monthly close and budget cycles, and display strong analytical and organizational skills for presenting information effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information and ensure data accuracy
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Evaluate and interpret financial data to provide strategic recommendations to senior management
Prepare insightful reports and presentations for leadership, highlighting key financial insights and trends
Monitor and assess the financial performance of the company against key performance indicators (KPIs)
Analyze financial and operational metrics, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field3+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role (healthcare experience preferred)
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and spreadsheet applications
Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial analysis
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Workday, Tableau experience are a plus
The ability to be flexible in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs
Self-starter and curious
Ability to solve problems, and establish trust
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
A low ego and humility; an ability to gain trust through strong communication and doing what you say you will do
This is an exempt position. The base compensation range for this role is $82,300 - $103,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. The selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan
