Job summary

Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for General & Administration in Sunnyvale, CA. You will partner with G&A leaders to develop headcount, expense and capital budgets, and manage month-end FP&A close and reporting processes on-site.

In this role, you’ll perform variance analysis, support forecasting, and drive profitability through cross-functional projects. A Bachelor’s in finance or related field and 4+ years FP&A experience, with strong Excel and ERP

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field (4+ years FP&A experience)
• Advanced user in MS Excel
• ERP/planning applications experience (SAP/OneStream preferred)
• Understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls

Responsibilities

• Act as business partner for G&A Leaders – establish cadence with business partners to review monthly actuals, analyze forecast variance, identify trends and provide recommendations to drive forecast execution and accuracy. Prepare and distribute monthly/quarterly management review packages.
• Evaluate results to plan, drive variance analysis and provide partnership to business leaders to execute on plan; analyze historical, current, and projected financial data for use in planning, forecasting, and management decision making.
• Perform in-depth financial & operational analysis and quarterly/annual forecast modeling, including operating expenses, headcount and capital, to accelerate future business planning decisions.
• Actively participate in cross-functional projects designed to solve business problems and improve profitability.
• Conduct ad-hoc planning and analysis to support the business and senior management.

Senior Financial Analyst, General & Administration

This position will act as direct business partner with business leaders and is responsible for development of accurate headcount, expense and capital budgets/forecasts, timely corporate submissions, month-end FP&A close activities, and management reporting.
This position reports to the Director, Global Financial Planning and Analysis and is part of the Finance Team located in Sunnyvale, CA and will be an on-site role.

The annual salary range for this role is $125K to $140K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
