Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. Our client is looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong FP&A background and experience supporting a global manufacturing environment. This individual will play an important role in forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and business partnering while providing insights that help leadership understand performance and make informed decisions.
The salary range for this position is $95k–115k.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities.
- Develop financial models and analysis to evaluate business performance, trends, and future expectations.
- Analyze actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods and provide explanations for significant variances.
- Partner with manufacturing and operational leaders to understand key financial and business drivers.
- Evaluate revenue, margins, operating expenses, production costs, and other performance indicators.
- Prepare recurring financial reporting and communicate meaningful insights to Finance and business leadership.
- Support financial planning and analysis across multiple locations, business units, or geographic regions.
- Consolidate financial information from various areas of the organization and ensure consistency in reporting and analysis.
- Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Assist with profitability analysis across products, customers, markets, or business segments.
- Monitor financial and operational KPIs and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Partner with accounting teams to understand financial results and ensure accurate management reporting.
- Support capital investment analysis and evaluate the financial impact of proposed business initiatives.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis in response to evolving business needs and leadership requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting, reporting, financial models, and analytical processes.
- Participate in finance systems, reporting, and other process improvement initiatives.
The Senior Financial Analyst will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 3–6 years of progressive financial planning and analysis or related finance experience.
- FP&A experience within a global manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and the financial drivers impacting production, costs, inventory, and margins.
- Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or international operations preferred.
- Ability to translate financial and operational data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to work effectively with Finance, operations, and other functional leaders.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP, financial planning, or business intelligence systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring planning and reporting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Proactive and intellectually curious with a strong interest in understanding the business behind the numbers.
