Job summary

American Hartford Gold Group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Los Angeles to deliver advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to guide strategic decisions. The role collaborates with senior leadership, accounting, and business-unit leaders on planning, budgeting, variance analysis, and ad hoc business analysis.

You will partner with departments to analyze spend, headcount planning, and cost optimization while building financial models and dashboards for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 2-3 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or related analytical role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and key financial metrics (EBITDA, ROI, NPV, IRR).
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills - ability to present financial data to non-financial audiences.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly variance analysis (actual vs. budget and prior year) and explain key drivers to leadership.
• Build and maintain complex financial models.
• Develop and track KPIs and dashboards to monitor business performance.
• Reporting & Business Partnering.
• Prepare board-level and executive presentations, including financial summaries and strategic recommendations.
• Partner with department heads to analyze departmental spend, headcount planning, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.

• 2-3 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or related analytical role
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas)
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and key financial metrics (EBITDA, ROI, NPV, IRR, etc.)
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong communication skills - ability to present complex financial data to non-financial audiences
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure
