Qualifications

  • Assist in maintaining general ledger integrity and financial accuracy.
  • Support bookkeeping and accounting operations as needed.
  • Monitor financial activity and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Provide analytical support to executive leadership and operations teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual processes.

Senior Financial Analyst - Skilled Nursing Finance

About the Role: As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations and broader financial initiatives of our organization. This is a fully in-office position based in Hackensack, NJ, and you will work closely with executive leadership to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with monthly close process across assigned facilities/entities
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably within SNF, long-term care, or healthcare
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statements
  • Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
  • Strong Excel and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA license or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement or cost reports a plus
  • Familiarity with healthcare accounting systems and ERP platforms
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, and AI-driven finance tools
