In this exciting role as a Senior Analyst on the Global Functions Finance Team, you will be responsible for accounting, finance and business partnering support of the Medtronic Global Functions team. The role includes financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and critical thinking in support of our Global Human Resources and Comms team, enabling them to reach their business objectives. This role resides in Fridley, MN and reports to the Global Functions Finance Director at Operational Headquarters (OHQ) in the United States (US). The dynamic Global Functions team requires a highly skilled professional that will supplement their team with strong financial acumen, innovative thinking, accountability, discipline, and attention to detail. This role will work directly with high level leaders in HR and other Corporate Functions and the Global Functions Finance team in the US.

Responsibilities

Must Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 4+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting (or 2+ years with an advanced degree)
Nice to Have
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Auditing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with GFS, Essbase, and/or SAP
  • Good technical accounting/US GAAP knowledge
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information.
  • Ability to develop solutions and/or innovative ideas to problems and ensure that solutions are consistent with the organization’s objectives.
  • Ability to interface in a global team environment with various levels of management, staff, and other functional areas
  • Strong organizational and people skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$88,000.00 - $132,000.00 This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
