Job summary

ABM is seeking a Senior Finance Associate in Chicago to provide analytical support to our Accounting ESC and Operations teams. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, and financial analysis across the region, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The candidate will develop complex financial models, manage annual budgets, and assist in journal entries and close processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
• 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting is required
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office products
• Working knowledge of Hyperion SmartView is required
• Experience in Anaplan is preferred
• Ability to present financial data concisely, utilizing visualizations when necessary
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize projects and deliver key objectives in a timely manner
• Familiarity with Balance Sheet and Income Statements
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning
• Update 12-month forecast quarterly
• Conduct reports and analysis related to annual budget and quarterly financial metrics
• Review P&L for variances and advise operations on opportunities for improvement
• Maintain and report monthly and quarterly operating financial metrics
• Contribute to month-end close process and submit journal entries
• Special projects and other duties as required
• Collaborate with Collections Team in Houston to monitor outstanding client payments

Job description

The Senior Finance Associate will provide analytical support to their designated region. This person will be working closely with our Accounting Team in our Enterprise Service Center (ESC) for our financial close as well as our Operations department to assist in budgeting and forecasting. This is a key position that will interact with team members at all levels, requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent computer skills, and exceptional problem-solving skills.

Pay:$85,000.00 - $100,000.00/yr

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’sexperience, skills, abilities, geographic location,and alignment with market data.
