Senior Financial Analyst (Process Improvement)

Location: Remote/Hybrid options available

Salary: $110,000 – $115,000 + bonus + strong benefits and upward mobility!

The Opportunity:

The company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (Process Improvement) to help transform the way its FP&A team operates. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance and technology. You'll be instrumental in automating and streamlining reporting processes—allowing analysts to focus on strategic insights while ensuring data quality and readiness for visualization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain automated data pipelines to enhance accuracy and reduce manual efforts.
  • Collaborate with acquired entities and IT to integrate systems and standardize reporting.
  • Write optimized SQL queries and scripts to prepare clean, reliable data.
  • Validate and format raw datasets for effective dashboard use.
  • Work with FP&A analysts to identify automation opportunities.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with reporting needs and business goals.
  • Assess and refine reporting workflows to boost efficiency and automation.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools to improve financial reporting.

Data Integrity & Documentation

  • Implement rigorous validation checks for data accuracy and completeness.
  • Clearly document processes for internal knowledge sharing and continuity.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or data analytics with automation experience.
  • Strong SQL skills; scripting experience in Python or R is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong communication skills; able to bridge technical and business perspectives.
  • Interest in AI tools and their role in data automation is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (CMA, data analytics).
  • Experience working on cross-functional process improvement projects.
  • Proven ability to build automation solutions in a dynamic environment.
