Sr Finance Analyst (IL Health Plan) - REMOTE

Job Summary

This position is part of the health plan finance team and supports the financial management of the IL health plan. The individual in this role will assist with the monthly close process, forecasting and budgeting, regulatory reporting, developing financial models, and responding to ad hoc reporting requests for leadership decision-making support.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Financial analysis including budgeting, forecasting, close reporting, and month-end variance analysis
• Complete accurate and timely financial reporting and identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies
• Develop policies and procedures to support all Finance activities
• Foster strong relationships with other teams and be adaptable to change
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively and multi-task under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

Job Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience: 3-4 Years

Preferred Education: MBA

Preferred Experience:

• 5-6 Years of Finance experience in healthcare or government industries (regulatory)
• SQL experience (or other programming experience i.e., R, Python, SAS)
• Advanced Excel Knowledge
