Es Vedra Cinemas is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Austin to provide financial insights and recommendations across budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. You will analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

The role emphasizes financial modeling, variance analysis, and supporting capital investments, with a focus on cost management and profitability for a multi-venue entertainment group in Austin.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, financial modeling) and financial reporting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large sets of financial data.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and business operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement by comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Work with department heads to track performance against budget and suggest corrective actions when necessary.
  • Analyze financial trends and project future financial performance based on historical data and market conditions.
  • Build and maintain financial models to analyze business performance and support decision-making.
  • Conduct financial analysis for new business initiatives, capital expenditures, and investment projects.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of business decisions, such as expansions, cost-cutting initiatives, or changes in product lines.
  • Actual to Theoretical Food Cost and Labor Management
  • Monitor expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
  • Provide insights on cost structure and help management control costs across various departments.
  • Provide decision support and business insights related to capital investments, financing decisions, and major expenditures.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate financial analysis findings to non-financial stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Assist in risk assessments related to financial exposure, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure that financial operations comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis and prepare special reports for senior management as requested.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify ways to streamline financial operations.

Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes within the organization. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, conducting forecasts, budgeting, and supporting strategic planning initiatives.
