Job summary

PHINIA Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Auburn Hills, MI to manage month‑end close, reconciliations, forecasting and budgeting.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Technical and Corporate Accounting and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of accounting experience; a Master’s or CPA is a plus, and SAP/OneStream experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Read More**JOB PURPOSE**The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the month-end close process, account reconciliations, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Technical and Corporate Accounting.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*** Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial results* Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for assigned areas* Monitor balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues* Review accounts receivable aging with shared service center to identify past due items and drive resolution* Coordinate the annual budget and monthly forecasting processes for corporate functions* Perform ad hoc projects as needed for the corporate accounting and corporate reporting teams* Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements**Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance.* 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in public accounting* Master’s degree or CPA qualification is a plus* SAP and OneStream experience preferred* Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and communication (written and verbal) skills* Strong initiative to improve processes and gain efficiency while maintaining objectives* Good organizational skills* Must be able to work in a team environment* Highly driven / self-starter
