Job summary

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX seeks a Senior Financial Aid Coordinator to lead daily operations within the Office of Student Financial Services. You will oversee programs, ensure compliance, and resolve complex award issues to support students.

You will supervise staff, prepare reports, and collaborate with federal and state agencies to optimize disbursement of funds and provide exceptional service to applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Three (3) years work experience in a closely related field to the duties being performed.
• Preferred experience in Financial Aid.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn other software programs.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned student financial aid programs.
• Establishes and monitors quality standards for financial aid programs.
• Resolves general and complex award issues.
• Maintains compliance with State, Federal and Institutional programs.
• Prepares and reviews reports and conducts statistical analyses.
• Supervises staff and assists the Director in absence of management.
