Job summary

Kearny Bank is seeking a Vice President, Financial Advisor to provide sound financial guidance to clients, meet sales goals, and partner with branches and departments. The role requires active sales, strong relationship-building, and up-to-date knowledge of investment products and regulations.

Must have FINRA Series 7, 63/66 or 65 licenses and a State Insurance License, with 5+ years in banking or a financial institution. Travel to multiple locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking or a financial institution.
• Licensing Requirements: FINRA Series 7, 63 and 66 or 65, State Insurance License.
• Ability to meet/exceed client experience needs and identify client/project needs.
• Knowledge of bank products, services, sweep accounts, concept & Techniques and cash management services.
• Ability to cross-sell and build client relationships.
• Willingness to travel; some evenings and weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Takes active role in sales activities, coordinating platform sales staff in branches.
• Maintains and coordinates regulatory and client files and supports audits.
• Develops and maintains referral sources to produce investment referrals.
• Keeps team informed about important client, product and regulatory information.
• Provides ongoing coaching and product training to staff in territory.
• Identifies cross-selling opportunities and cross-refers to bank areas.
• Profiles clients and re-evaluates short- and long-term investment needs.
