Job Title: Senior Financial / Accounting Analyst

Kelly Professional & Industrial is seeking a senior financial / accounting analyst to work at a national waste management company in Phoenix, AZ. We aim to help you find a role that fits your lifestyle, so you won't miss out on what truly matters.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify, analyze, document, and report accounting issues in external reports and internal presentations.
2. Utilize knowledge of technical accounting matters, GAAP, and SEC regulations to ensure reporting compliance.
3. Create ad hoc analyses, reports, and participate in other projects.
4. Assist in preparing the monthly internal financial reporting package.
5. Prepare and review account reconciliations and manage the month-end process.
6. Review reconciliations and suggest improvements.
7. Support complex accounting areas such as stock-based compensation, derivatives, acquisitions, AROs, legal accruals, revenue recognition, and leases.
8. Collaborate with corporate and field organizations on technical accounting issues.
9. Assist with implementing new accounting and reporting standards, including revenue and leasing standards.
10. Help prepare reports filed with the SEC, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and other filings, maintaining related documentation.
11. Maintain processes and procedures related to SOX compliance.
12. Ability to work remotely with residency in Arizona; relocation assistance available.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Public accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, MBA, or related disciplines
• CPA certification
• Knowledge of technical accounting matters, GAAP, and SEC regulations
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Essbase reporting tool
