Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Financial Accountant in Welkom to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate records, and support timely financial reporting. The role emphasizes IFRS-compliant statements, internal controls, and collaboration with the finance team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least four years of financial accounting experience, with proficiency in accounting software and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related financial discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a financial accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports according to IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, tracking financial performance against plan.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested financial documentation and explanations.
