Heartland Dental is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the Accounting & Finance Department in a hybrid role. You will handle GAAP‑based accounting, month‑end close activities, and cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, HR, Recruiting, and IT while expanding your expertise within a fast‑growing organization.

The role emphasizes preparing balance sheet reconciliations, process improvements, and documentation of control policies, reporting to the Operational Expenditures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3+ years of general accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with a larger GL system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operating expense transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform monthly fluctuation analysis of expenditures.
• Assist in development of expanded month-end and quarterly checklists.
• Document control policies and procedures for the Accounting & Finance team.
• Contribute to process or system improvement initiatives for Accounting and Finance.
• Become a subject matter expert in financial/analytical tools used by the team.
