Job summary

Washington Trust Bank is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to manage advanced accounting, regulatory and tax analyses and to ensure GAAP compliance for the corporate group in Spokane, WA. You will coordinate with external auditors and regulators as part of the bank's financial reporting process.

The role requires CPA and 5+ years in public accounting or SEC-related roles, with deep knowledge of RAP, GAAP consolidations, internal controls and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of public accounting or SEC-related experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge including consolidations and audit trails.
• Experience with SEC reporting and regulatory filings (10-K/10-Q).
• Knowledge of RAP accounting and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manages and performs advanced accounting technical research and discusses impact of current and proposed accounting pronouncements.
• Develops, implements and interprets accounting policies for the corporate group and communicates to senior management.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial and regulatory reports for WTB Financial Corp. with emphasis on public reporting.
• Manages internal control documentation for FDICIA and SOX compliance.
• Acts as a point of contact with regulatory examiners and external auditors regarding advanced financial transactions and reporting.
• Participates in enhancements to financial, regulatory and tax systems for the corporate group.
• Reviews work and mentors co-workers as needed.
• Prepares financial, regulatory and tax reports for multiple entities, including monthly/annual statements and board reports.
• Assists in annual audits and regulatory filings and supports close processes.
