Job summary

Boom is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to own the general ledger and support financial reporting. You will execute month-end close end-to-end, maintain documentation, and help improve systems in real time.

The role requires strong accounting skills, CPA certification, and the ability to triage issues during close cycles. The position emphasizes collaboration with procurement, facilities, and legal teams, along with opportunities to automate and optimize processes.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably from public accounting
• CPA certification is required
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and modern productivity tools, including AI-assisted tools
• Experience interacting with upper management and operations personnel

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close end-to-end — journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance explanations
• Support financial reporting and audit readiness with clean workpapers and schedules
• Identify recurring issues and automate processes where possible
• Account for complex areas including equity, investments, taxes, etc.
• Manage and support accounting systems and related projects
• Support procurement, facilities, and legal teams with accounting system expertise
