Job summary

GUS Germany GmbH is seeking a finance professional to support monthly closes, journal entries, and reconciliations, ensuring German GAAP compliance and IFRS where applicable. You will collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

The role requires 1–3 years in external audit (preferred) and strong Excel/ERP skills, with international exposure encouraged. A great opportunity in a dynamic, international environment in Germany awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in external audit with a recognized firm (preferred).
• Experience in financial accounting and financial reporting.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or controlling is an advantage.
• Experience in an international environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure compliance with German GAAP and IFRS (where applicable).
• Assist with statutory financial statements and external audits.
• Support accounting process improvements and internal controls.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Treasury, GL teams and business partners.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses.
• Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses for management decisions.
• Provide financial insights to managers and departmental leaders.
