Memorial Hermann is seeking a seasoned accountant to perform complex financial analysis and support system-wide accounting operations. You will prepare journal entries, oversee month-end close, and provide insightful variance analyses to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience and strong analytical skills.
• Experience with ERP and BI tools; advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries and GL consolidations.
• Supports month-end close, researches variances, communicates findings to management.
• Reconciles complex GL accounts and reports material variances to management.
• Prepares schedules for financial reporting to internal/external sources, including auditors.
• Prepares balance sheets, P/L statements and other analyses for decision making.
• Assists with annual budget schedules and process improvements; mentors staff.
