Catalyx is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the finance team in Newtown, PA. You will own US entities financial reporting, ensure accurate monthly close, strengthen controls, and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making in a fast-paced, international environment.

You will partner with FP&A, tax, and operations, support audits and regulatory filings, and contribute to finance transformation and system improvements, including 401(k) plans.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience; CPA preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting; solid analytical skills.
  • Experience with US tax compliance; multi-state operations ideal.
  • Experience with ERP systems; MS Dynamics Business Central preferred but not required.
  • Strong Excel skills; Power Query desirable.
  • Positive, customer service oriented demeanor.
  • Leadership experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a keyrole within the finance team, supporting the financial reporting and controlenvironment of the group. The role will have primary responsibility for the U.S.entities, while also providing support to other entities across the group asrequired.

This position will involve close collaboration withfinance leadership, FP&A, and operational teams to ensure the delivery ofaccurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and meaningfulfinancial analysis to support business decision-making.

The successful candidate will operate in afast-paced international environment and will have the opportunity tocontribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly and year-to-date financial statements forassigned entities within the group, primarily the U.S. entities.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month-end close processin accordance with internal reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain a strong financial control environment, ensuring all balancesheet accounts are fully reconciled, supported, and reviewed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including USGAAP where relevant.
  • Assist with the analysis of financial performance against budgets andforecasts, identifying key trends and variances.
  • Coordinate with FP&A with regards to the analysis of revenue andprofit margins across the company’s product and service lines, identifyingdrivers of performance.
  • Review and analyze the company’s cost base, working with FP&A anddepartment managers to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities forefficiency and cost optimization.
  • Prepare and maintain bi-weekly cash flow forecasts, providing insightand analysis to support effective treasury and working capital management.
  • Support the annual statutory audit process across group entities,ensuring timely completion and coordination with external auditors.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax and regulatory filings, includingcorporate tax, indirect taxes, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support the annual budget process and periodic forecasts with FP&A.
  • Provide financial business partnering support to business leaders anddepartment managers, helping to translate financial information into actionableinsights.
  • Support and lead finance and accounting-related projects, includingimprovements to systems, processes, and reporting as well as benefit and 401(k)plans.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial reporting andanalysis tools across the finance function.
  • While the role willinitially focus on the U.S. entities, the successful candidate may also supportother entities within the group as business needs evolve.
Requirements
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience within Finance/Accounting; CPApreferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting skills as well asproven analytical skills.
  • Experience in tax compliance within theU.S., preferably with multi-state operations.
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems, with experience in MSDynamics Business Central ERP being preferred (but not required) .
  • Strong Excel skills with experience in Power Query desirable .
  • Positive, friendly demeanor with a firm customer service orientation .
  • Experience in leading teamsdesirable but not essential.
