Position Summary

Cygna Labs is seeking a highly independent and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to contribute to U.S. finance operations. The role combines hands‑on accounting expertise with leadership in compliance, audit coordination, and financial process improvement. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP, maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and drive finance projects such as ERP optimization, automation, and control enhancements.

Location

Remote or hybrid is not considered. The role requires full‑time in‑office in Miami Beach, FL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze U.S. financial statements and reporting packages for group consolidation.
  • Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and all local, state, and federal financial regulations, in accordance with group reporting standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance team in Germany to align accounting practices, intercompany reconciliations, and reporting timelines.
  • Contribute to finance projects such as ERP system optimization, automation initiatives, and process efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in monitoring internal controls to help ensure accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial data.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles by providing accurate data and analysis.
  • Serve as a key accounting liaison for U.S. operations, providing cross‑functional support to other departments as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5 – 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated experience supporting U.S. financial reporting and compliance.
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and related accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands‑on experience coordinating internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite (preferred), QuickBooks, or similar; experience leading or supporting system improvement projects.
  • Proven ability to work independently across time zones while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • CPA credential preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work full‑time in‑office in Miami Beach, FL.
