Job summary

Armstrong Utilities in Butler, PA is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team onsite. You will prepare and review journal entries, coordinate the month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting for multiple entities.

You’ll analyze ledgers, investigate variances, and provide management with insightful financial analyses. You will lead the preparation of financial statements and support the annual audit with auditors, while identifying process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Five to seven years of progressive accounting experience.
  • CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
  • Coordinate month-end close process and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
  • Lead preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
  • Support annual audit with schedules and documentation.
  • Communicate results and insights to local and senior leadership.
