Backd is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the full accounting lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely financial information. The role requires a CPA and 3–5 years’ experience in lending or payments, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee daily accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, and cash flow management, while ensuring tax compliance and robust internal controls across the finance function.

What You Bring To The Table

• Experienced in preparing and loading payments, ensuring all payments are accurate, properly authorized, and processed on time.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when managing payment runs, cash flow, banking relationships, and financial controls, with a strong understanding of the importance of safeguarding company funds.
• Excellent communication skills, strong commercial awareness, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Have a continuous improvement mindset, be highly trustworthy, maintain strict confidentiality, and be committed to producing work of the highest professional standard.
• Be comfortable taking ownership, leading by example, and supporting the broader finance team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the finance department.
