Job summary

UCLA CNSI seeks a Manager of Financial Services to lead budgeting, reporting, and strategic financial planning across multiple funding streams. You will supervise staff and coordinate with executives, academic leaders, and industry partners to optimize financial performance.

The role requires advanced knowledge of fiscal management in a research environment, strong communication, and the ability to develop sustainable financial practices within a university setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years fiscal management experience in a complex, multi-fund fiscal environment.
• Experience managing staff and directing financial operations within a research/academic setting.
• Ability to formulate financial strategy for Institute leadership.
• Proficiency in generating ad hoc queries and reports to support multi-million dollar budgets.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and direct the financial strategy for CNSI under UCLA.
• Oversee budgeting, purchasing, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Interact with academic staff, administrators, and industry partners to manage complex funding streams.
