First Finish is now part of the Shawmut family and offers a leadership-focused Senior Finance Manager role in Columbia, MD. This office-based position may include one remote workday per week in the future, tied to business needs and role integration.

The role oversees month-end close, work-in-process reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and project-related accounting, partnering with divisional executives to guide profitable growth and operational discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Previous experience as a Senior Finance Manager or in a comparable financial leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of construction accounting, GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, financial-statement preparation, and work-in-process reporting.

Responsabilités

• Lead the division’s finance and accounting operations while managing and developing the construction finance team.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany accounts.
• Manage project accounting activities, including payables, receivables, billings, collections, and cash-flow monitoring.
• Lead the preparation and review of work-in-process reports, project projections, cost-to-complete forecasts, and profitability analyses.
• Coordinate financial and compliance information required by the parent company, external auditors, insurance providers, and legal partners.
