The role requires deep knowledge of FAR, CAS, GAAP, and experience in government contracting, with oversight of audits and indirect rate structures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with management responsibility.
  • Experience in government contracting and applying FAR and CAS.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and government contract accounting requirements.
  • Experience managing audits, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and provide financial analysis to senior leadership.

The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for leading the Company's accounting and finance functions and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance, and financial operations. This position oversees accounting, project controls, budgeting, forecasting, and government contract compliance activities while supervising and developing the finance team. The Controller serves as a key business partner to leadership and ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all accounting and finance operations across a multi-entity environment. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting and finance personnel.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities; provide financial analysis and recommendations to Senior Leadership.
  • Supervise the project control function, including but not limited to revenue recognition and project financial performance monitoring.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support operational efficiency and compliance. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices across the finance organization.
  • Develop, monitor, and update provisional and final indirect rate structures (fringe, overhead, G&A, material handling) in full alignment with FAR Part 31 and applicable CAS.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, government auditors, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate annual financial statement audits, tax compliance activities, and other regulatory reviews.
  • Maintain relationships with banking and financial institution partners, including oversight of financing activities, cash management, and lender reporting requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including management responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in government contracting.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, CAS, GAAP, and government contract accounting requirements.
  • Experience managing audits, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not required.
  • Expertise in Deltek Costpoint is essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
