SkyLearn is looking for a Part-Time Finance Manager to join our team!

At SkyLearn we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive the business forward. We’re searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our team to oversee multiple company Quickbooks files, maintain accurate records of daily and ongoing transactions, and ensure the smooth operation of all financial systems.

This is a part-time, remote position with a preferred schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 22-25 hours per week. The hours can be somewhat flexible; but generally, somewhere between the hours of 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. We’re a driven team that celebrates success – hard work is recognized, and achievements are rewarded.

• You are obsessed with accuracy — typos and rounding errors have nightmares about you.
• No babysitter required. You are a “go getter” that gets the job done with little to no assistance.
• You thrive in a spreadsheet environment (bonus points if you secretly enjoy color-coding those spreadsheets).
• You’re deadline-driven but calm under pressure — think precision meets poise.
• You believe "reconciliation" isn't just for relationships — it's for bank accounts, too.

About the Role:

• Are you a master of spreadsheets, a payroll pro, and a financial detective all rolled into one? Great — because we’re looking for a Finance Manager who can handle complex reports, keep commissions in check, juggle multiple bank accounts, and still have time to catch errors before they even think about happening.
• You won’t just "manage finances" — you'll orchestrate them, ensuring that all moving parts dance in perfect harmony. Extra credit if you enjoy a well- organized report and consider a flawlessly reconciled bank account your personal work of art.

What You'll Tackle:

• Maintain and update key spreadsheets.
• Keep bank and credit card balances squeaky clean and up-to-date.
• Calculate weekly sales commissions (a calculator and a cape are optional, but encouraged).
• Process payroll like a boss!
• Compile weekly, quarterly, monthly and annual reports to keep leadership in the know.
• Coordinate with CPAs for tax prep and financial reporting across multiple states.
• File annual reports, sales tax filings, and 1099s like a seasoned pro.
• Oversee vendor payments and expense reports.
• Track and report every imaginable expense, big and small.
• Generally keep everything running behind the scenes while making it look effortless.

Tools, Skills & Qualifications:

• QuickBooks Desktop (and maybe a little spreadsheet wizardry in Excel/Google Sheets).
• TriNet and Gusto for payroll.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.
• 5+ recent years of experience in related field.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, detail-oriented.
• Your own finely-tuned sense of fiscal responsibility.
• This is a remote position. Quality internet connection, functioning computer and webcam are a must!
• Previous experience working remotely.
