Job summary

King County’s Department of Executive Services seeks a Business and Finance Officer IV for the Facilities Management Division. The role leads the Internal Service Fund, supervises four staff, and provides advanced financial analysis and guidance.

The successful candidate will manage the ISF budget, payroll accuracy, and cross‑functional financial improvements. The BFO IV will monitor cash flow, prepare biennial budgets, support audits, and deliver the ACFR and quarterly analyses.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in accounting.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience budgeting and fund management for large organizations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise payroll processing for FMD staff.
• Manage ISF cash flow and budgets for a biennium.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and journal entries.
• Monitor budgets, analyze variances, and report to leadership.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory/compliance activities.
