Job summary

King County’s Department of Executive Services seeks a Business and Finance Officer IV for the Facilities Management Division (FMD). Based in Seattle, this hands-on leader will oversee the ISF, supervise four staff, and ensure accurate budgetary and financial reporting.

You will drive the biennial operating budget, monitor payroll, GAAP compliance, and lead continuous improvement within FMD, partnering with the Executive Budget Office and Council as needed.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in accounting.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience budgeting and monitoring large programs or organizations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the bi‑weekly payroll process for FMD staff.
• Manage ISF cash flow and biennial budgets.
• Oversee budget vs actual analyses and journal entries.
• Coordinate monthly/quarterly project status reports.
• Support audits and the ACFR as needed.
