Georgetown University is seeking a Senior Finance Director for the School of Continuing Studies. This role involves overseeing financial planning, managing budgets, and collaborating with various departments. The Senior Finance Director serves as the chief finance officer and the senior business manager for the School of Continuing Studies (SCS), comprising 13 divisions or departments, more than 20-degree programs, more than 160 professional administrative staff and full-time faculty members, and more than 1,000 part-time adjunct faculty members. The Senior Finance Director oversees the financial planning and budgeting function for the school, including position budgeting, resource allocation, and business operations in alignment with the mission and objectives of the School. The role also serves as a backup to the Chief of Staff for the Human Resources function for staff/AAP and Vice Dean for faculty. Additionally, this position supports the Dean and other stakeholders in developing the strategic plan for the school and drives the implementation of SCS's financial strategy and strategic plan. The incumbent will monitor external and internal factors influencing SCS's mission and goals. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
The Senior Finance Director reports directly to the Dean, SCS, with a dotted line to the Vice President and Chief Business Officer, Main Campus. The role manages two positions: the Executive Director of SCS Financial Operations and the Director of Business Administration, SCS. The role collaborates with the Office of the Provost on academic, financial, and faculty affairs; works closely with SCS unit heads on financial management, strategy, and compliance; and coordinates with Human Resources, Legal Counsel, and other offices on matters related to resource allocation, legal agreements, and program activities.
This position is designated as Hybrid, with an expectation of on-site presence 3 days a week. Support for Tropaia and Commencement activities in person is required.
The projected salary range is $103,723.00 - $202,778.93. Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, and university needs.
