Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX is seeking an Experienced Finance Cost Engineer to lead financial operations and cost controls for infrastructure construction projects. You will track CapEx, forecast cash flow, review pay applications, and partner with project management, procurement, and compliance to keep projects on budget.

This role demands proactive problem solving in a fast-paced environment, strong Excel skills, and deep knowledge of contracting methods.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of capital project lifecycle from design through close-out.
• Deep knowledge of contracting methods (Lump Sum, Cost Plus, Time & Materials) and mechanics' liens laws.
• Strong working knowledge of standard accounting principles and CapEx depreciation rules.
• Expert-level Excel modeling with pivot tables and macros/VBA.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities for large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dynamic cost-tracking databases and CBS.
• Review contractor and vendor billing against progress on site.
• Perform independent cost estimates for major change orders.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis vs budgets.
• Coordinate project close-out financial audits and reconciliations.
• Implement value-compliance processes to optimize CapEx efficiency.
