Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Finance Cost Engineer to manage financial operations and cost controls for infrastructure construction at our foundry. You will track CapEx, forecast cash flow, review pay applications, and partner with project management, procurement, and compliance to keep projects on budget.

In a fast-paced environment, you will build dynamic cost-tracking databases, analyze variances, and support close-out audits while optimizing CapEx efficiency and ensuring

Qualifikationen

• Advanced understanding of capital project lifecycle stages from design through close-out.
• Knowledge of construction contracting methods (Lump Sum, Cost Plus, T&M) and mechanics' liens.
• Strong working knowledge of standard accounting principles and CapEx depreciation rules.
• Expert-level spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, macros/VBA)
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities for large data sets.

Aufgaben

• Build and maintain cost-tracking databases and CBS.
• Review contractor and vendor billing against physical progress on site.
• Perform independent cost estimates (ICE) for major change orders and variation claims.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis comparing spend and forecasts to budgets.
• Coordinate project close-out financial audits, reconciliations, and retention releases.
• Implement value-compliance processes with construction managers to optimize CapEx efficiency.
