Job summary

Topstep LLC in Chicago, IL seeks a senior Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. You will own monthly to annual financial statements under U.S.

GAAP, strengthen internal controls, and partner with executives to drive growth and strategic decision-making. The role requires 10+ years in accounting leadership, CPA designation preferred, and experience with NetSuite or similar ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• CPA designation preferred or required for advancement.
• Extensive experience in accounting leadership (10+ years).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting organization including revenue, GL, and operations accounting functions.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and GAAP compliance.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, close calendar, and internal controls.
• Manage revenue, payouts, and ASC 606 accounting for subscriptions and promotions.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls across the function.
• Own ERP system configuration and data integrity across billing and payouts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to inform forecasting and reporting.
