Job summary

Weeks Marine, Inc. is seeking a Finance Controller in Covington, LA to provide district ownership over multiple projects with values from $1M to $400M. You will lead a team, partner with upper management, and deliver timely, insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

The role requires strong leadership, continuous improvement mindset, and exceptional communication and technical skills to optimize financial performance across the dredging division.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of financial/data analysis or public accounting experience in the construction or utility industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or an equivalent degree preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication (oral and written), organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Managerial experience.
• Travel and/or relocation will be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and communicates financial results of the project district to upper level management.
• Earns trust and buy-in from Operations to improve cohesion and communication.
• Manages financial reporting and upstream effects across the organization.
• Oversees division of responsibilities between project and home office departments.
• Drives continuous improvement and positive change across the organization.
• Utilizes data, reports, and tools for risk analysis and benchmarking.
• Reviews project cash flows, contract terms, and change orders for risks and opportunities.
• Reconciles all financial reports monthly and annually.
