Job summary

Gap Inc. seeks a seasoned communications leader to shape and elevate storytelling around our financial strategy, performance, and long-term value creation.

Partnering with Finance, Investor Relations, and Media Relations, you will translate complex financial insights into accessible narratives for employees and external audiences. You’ll craft earnings scripts, press materials, and Q&A content, while supporting internal programs and executive communications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably with financial/executive focus.
• Experience supporting publicly traded companies, including earnings cycles and disclosure requirements.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to distill complex data into clear narratives.

Responsibilities

• Evolve Gap Inc.'s financial narrative across internal and external communications.
• Support quarterly financial cycle storytelling, including earnings scripts, press releases, and Q&A documents.
• Translate financial results and strategy into engaging narratives for employees and other audiences.
• Develop and manage internal communications programs (town halls, leadership forums, financial updates).
• Support the CFO with speeches, presentations, talking points, and thought leadership content.
• Collaborate with Finance, Investor Relations and Media Relations to ensure accurate, compliant messaging.
• Engage with business and financial media to reinforce credibility and market confidence.
• Provide communications counsel aligned with legal considerations and public company requirements.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure timely, consistent messaging across teams.
