Job description

Maximus is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to produce accurate project financial reporting results for submission to corporate finance and project management. This is a remote position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for preparing project financial forecasts, including loading labor data into the corporate model, validating ODC forecasts, and ensuring overall forecast consistency; reviewing with management to finalize and submit forecasts.
2. Prepare quarterly revenue adjustments to correct revenue for billed indirect rates exceeding expected actual rates.
3. In conjunction with the Financial Analyst, track costs, billing/invoice adjustments, contract-to-date expenditures for sub-contractors and temporary labor.
4. Oversee and review monthly accruals.
5. Prepare monthly variance analysis for management review.
6. Handle ad-hoc reporting requests from management.
7. Support management in responding to client requests for documentation, cost allocations, and analysis.
8. Participate in internal and external audits, maintaining necessary reports and data.
9. Ensure the security and privacy of financial information.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Experience tracking costs and billing/invoice adjustments.

• Proficiency in preparing monthly variance analyses.
• Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with ad-hoc reporting and audits.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• P&L experience preferred.
• Federal experience is a plus.
