Job summary

Abbott is a global healthcare leader delivering glucose monitoring and other life‑changing technologies. This Senior Financial Analyst role supports FP&A for ADC Global Operations, consolidating P&L, balance sheet, CapEx and cash flow data for strategic decisions.

As part of the finance team, you’ll partner with global operations and headquarters to drive accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Onsite in Alameda, CA, with a focus on timely financial insights and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics is required.
• 3-5 years of financial analysis experience is required.
• Knowledge of integrated financial analysis and reporting principles.
• Highly proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Global ADC Operations finance teams to obtain information for reporting and variance analysis.
• Support month-end close and reporting of ADC Global Operations performance metrics.
• Prepare, consolidate, and analyze ADC Global Operations forecast information.
• Develop tools and templates to support consolidation and schedule completion.
• Analyze financial forecasts with historical data, trends, and market information.
• Create slides and support executive presentations with key financial data.
• Organize complex Excel files ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Meet deadlines with minimal supervision and balance workload.
• Support management on key projects and ad hoc requests.

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels. As Senior Financial Analyst, you will be supporting FP&A Managers, responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing ADC Global Operations financial information from P&L, Balance Sheet, CapEx and Cashflow to provide accurate and timely information to finance management for strategic and operational decisions. This position requires communication between ADC Global Operations Headquarter, ADC Division Headquarter, and ADC financial teams in US, Ireland and UK. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with Global ADC Operations finance teams to acquire information for reporting and variance analysis.
• Support month-end close process and reporting of ADC Global Operations financial performance metrics on a timely and accurate basis.
• Prepare, consolidate, and analyze ADC Global Operations forecast information to support deliverables during LBE/OEM/Plan cycle.
• Develop flexible, comprehensive tools and templates to support the consolidation and timely completion of ADC Global Operations schedules as well as develop process improvements that meet the needs of the financial planning and reporting requirement.
• Support/Analyze ADC Global Operations financial forecasts incorporating historical results, trends, and current business/market information.
• Develop flexible, comprehensive tools and templates to support the consolidation and timely submission of deliverables.
• Create and present slides summarizing key business activities that support the financial submissions from the finance teams.
• Assist with executive presentation development.
• Organize and maintain complex Excel files, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Meet deadlines with minimal supervision and balance workload requirements.
• Support Finance management on key projects and analysis.
• Perform Ad hoc requests for management, with data mining and presentation support.

Experience You’ll Bring

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in finance, accounting or economics)
• 3-5 years financial analysis experience.
• Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
• Highly proficient in Excel.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree / MBA preferred
• Experience with EssBase, Dodeca, SAP and Hyperion a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Knowledge of PBI (Power BI)
