Job summary

Eliza is seeking a Principal AI Deployment Manager, Controller to lead AI-enabled finance workflows across order-to-cash, close, and procure-to-pay. You will partner with finance leaders and engineers to translate policy into actionable requirements, design MVPs, and drive measurable client outcomes.

You will own discovery, delivery, evaluation, and adoption, ensuring production-readiness and risk awareness as AI expands into critical finance processes.

Qualifications

• CPA background with substantial controller or controllership experience.
• Deep experience with ERP, accounting systems, or finance systems implementations and process change.
• Strong working knowledge of core accounting processes and underlying systems (e.g., order-to-cash, month-end close, or procure-to-pay)
• Evidence of implementing AI-supported workflows in finance or accounting, with a practical understanding of AI capabilities and limitations.
• Ability to translate accounting policy, controls, exceptions, and system behavior into requirements that engineering teams can implement and test.
• Client-facing communication skills and the judgment to ask precise questions, challenge assumptions, and explain tradeoffs clearly.
• Ownership of outcomes through discovery, delivery, evaluation, and client review.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance process discovery sessions with controllers and accounting teams.
• Translate controller needs into product requirements, roadmaps, and test cases.
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers to plan MVP and manage scope, quality, timing.
• Define evaluation criteria, track outcomes, and communicate findings to clients.
• Create reusable finance delivery methods and guidance from client work.
