Job summary

eToro, a regulated US fintech with a growing footprint, seeks an accounting professional to strengthen financial reporting, controls and tax processes across US entities. You will own month-end close, enhance automation, and support regulatory and tax reporting for MSB and broker-dealer operations.

You will collaborate with the US Controller and global Finance, handling AP, intercompany activity and audits while advancing crypto accounting practices and asset custody processes.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience with tax reporting and audits is a plus.
• Comfort with automation and AI-enabled finance tools.

Responsibilities

• Own key elements of the month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support regulatory reporting across US entities (FOCUS, NMLS call reports, DFS).
• Support client/vendor tax reporting (W-9, W-8, 1099).
• Assist audits and internal controls, ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.
• Partner with US Controller on intercompany reconciliations, cash postings, fixed assets.
• Support evolving crypto/digital asset operations and custody processes.
• Oversee accounts payable activities and vendor management (Brex, Expensify).

• This role supports our crypto, money service business (MSB), and broker-dealer operations - all of which have grown significantly as eToro expands its regulated US footprint
• You will support the US Financial Controller across all accounting matters, with emphasis on financial reporting, regulatory reporting, internal controls, tax, and treasury management. As a now-public company, the scope and visibility of this role are substantial, and you will have real opportunity to grow your impact alongside the business
• You’ll play a key role in supporting eToro’s regulated US entities, combining hands‑on accounting with regulatory reporting, controls, automation and digital asset operations
• Own key elements of the month‑end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, forecasting and management reporting
• Ensure financial reporting remains compliant with US GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
• Support regulatory reporting across our US entities, including FOCUS reports, NMLS call reports, DFS reporting and transaction‑level reporting for MSB and Virtual Currency operations
• Partner with the US Controller and global Finance teams on intercompany reconciliations, cash postings, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and accounting adjustments
• Support our evolving crypto and digital asset operations, including custody processes and digital asset accounting requirements
• Manage core Accounts Payable activities, including vendors, invoices, purchase orders, wires and corporate spend platforms such as Brex and Expensify
• Support financial, regulatory and tax audits, ensuring requests are accurate, complete and delivered on time
• Own client and vendor tax reporting requirements, including W-9, W-8 and 1099 reporting, working alongside external tax advisors
• Identify control gaps and build stronger, scalable processes that improve accuracy and audit readiness
• Use automation and AI‑enabled tools to streamline finance workflows, reduce manual work and accelerate the month‑end close
• Take ownership of ad hoc projects and evolving priorities across multiple regulated US entities

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented accounting professional to join our US Finance teamExperience working with ERP and finance systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or Priority3+ years of accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting with industry experienceComfortable managing multiple priorities and collaborating with colleagues across different teams and time zonesExperience within a broker‑dealer, fintech, financial services or regulated environment is strongly preferredStrong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and month‑end close processesCuriosity about crypto, blockchain and digital assets, and an interest in how the financial landscape is evolvingA track record of automating, simplifying or improving finance processes rather than simply maintaining themCPA preferred; Series 27 or 28 would be a strong advantageStrong communication skills and the confidence to take ownershipDegree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
